  what is a good reasonably priced bottle of red from australia?

  i prefer very dry cabernet's.

  I am an aussie, and I love the wines here, red or white. price is a good guide, but they're all good. I'm not sure what brands are available in the USA. "Brown Brothers" is a good brand, "Taylors" is another good brand. "Penfolds". None are bad, so I'm sure none will disappoint. I've treid the french & italian wines (i'm Italian too ) and i wasn't impressed, I like the full flavored dry Cab Sav, and the ones here are great.

  i was born into the borg, i was wondering what made you join.

  my mother who is now deceased use to say she did all this research.

  my brother keeps stating that as this great fact to me.

  I was batized at 25yo. I was a catholic before. What make me change? well... the WT does have its good points, firstly it does expose the lies of the other religions, e.g. Trinity, Hell fire, Eternal Soul, but then only replaces them with other lies, which by the way the WTS does a better job of hiding them from the R&F then the catholics have done. The lies of the WTS are things like. Jesus coming in 1914, and them being the FDS, and of course all the mind control that they claim is Bible based.

  I beleive that most people like me get batized because they are happy to hear the truths that the WTS tell you about the bible at the begining, but they push batiztism. They convince you that all others are telling you lies and not to listen to those who disagree with them. Of course once your batized its all done under the threat of disfellowshipping, you've being 'encouraged' to change your friends because they don't love Jehovah and are therefore under Satans' control, thereby giving Disfellowshiping maximum effects. I could go on but i'll leave it up to others now.

  Has anyone read Diane Wilson's book, "Awakening of a Jehovah's Witness"?

  today, i just received diane wilson's book, "awakening of a jehovah's witness".

  i cracked it open tonight and in reading the first page, found something that makes me question her authenticity.

  she states, "in my 22 years as one of jehovah's witnesses, i had attained the position of "traveling overseer" both in the united states and brazil.

  Are JWs Are A "Free" People As They Claim???

  the argument witnesses make is that they are not encumbered by the world and its so-called "freedom".

  they feel they are "free" from all the typical problems of this "worldly system of things"........if you could reason with a witness as to whether or not they are truly "free'', what would you say to help them see the light?

  its not the Rank & File members that are claiming that they are free, its the GB whom the R&F mustn't disagree with that are making that claim, its the Watchtower that they MUST read each week that makes that claim, its the speakers at the District convention that they MUST all attend that make that claim, and its the elders at the KH that MUST make that claim to the rank & File and finally the Rank and File MUST believe that. They have no real say in the matter. So really...are they free???? I think not. Has anyone every felt free to make a comment of their own thoughts at the meetings? they are allowed to use their own words but not their own thoughts, they must NEVER disagree with the FDS.

  So A Good JW will believe that he is free because the WTS says they are.
